Many Dutch people have a special bond with Indonesia and travel there to visit family, out of curiosity about the places where relatives have lived, or out of nostalgia. In addition, everyone naturally wants to enjoy all the beauty the country has to offer: impressive natural beauty, intriguing culture, beautiful hotels, family guesthouses, and a population that belongs to the friendliest and most hospitable people in the world.
During your trip, you will also see kampungs (villages), rice fields, and people at work.
What could be better than experiencing what life is really like in a kampong? That is our starting point for this trip.
This trip is intended for people who don’t mind getting dirty. Who are open to acquiring new knowledge. The feeling of “Back to the roots”.
You will be accommodated with a family for a few days. There, you will participate in family life. It is not a luxury.
Back to Nature 7 days
Back to Nature Ecotourism in Bali, is a house located in th area of the Gunung. It offers an immersive jungle experience featuring private balconies, traditional cuisine, yoga, and more. The site focuses on conservation and local culture, making it ideal for eco-conscious travelers.
During these days, you can volunteer for the following “activities”:
- Planting, harvesting, and cultivating rice
- Herding geese
- Picking fruit
- Learning traditional dance
- Playing Gamelan
- Making batik
The activities depend on the period you are in the kampong.
The goal of Back to Nature is twofold:
- Experiencing what life is like in a kampong
- Helping kampong residents preserve their identity so that fewer young people go to the big city.
